Job summary

WellSky Corporation is seeking a Medical Coder - Home Health to support our client agencies with accurate ICD-10-CM coding aligned to OASIS guidelines. You will review documentation, assign primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures, and help ensure compliant billing.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and a coding certification (HCS-D or BCHH-C). Preference given to candidates with OASIS and hospice experience.

Responsibilities

• Make accurate ICD-10-CM code assignments.
• Review OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) and assign accurate codes supported by the documentation.
• Identify viable primary diagnosis and procedures as well as pertinent secondary diagnosis and procedures.
• Adhere to coding compliance regulations and internal policies to ensure accurate billing for our client agencies.
• Review, interpret, and recommend a plan of care corrections as needed.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Job description

The Medical Coder - Home Health is responsible for providing medical coding support to assigned agencies. The scope of this job includes accurate assignment of billing codes that are supported by documentation and compliant with all OASIS standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Make accurate ICD-10-CM code assignments.
• Review OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) and assign accurate codes supported by the documentation.
