Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an experienced Home Health ICD-10 Coder with OASIS review experience to support WellSky client accounts. The role focuses on ICD-10-CM coding, OASIS accuracy, documentation consistency, and compliance with Medicare and CMS requirements.

The position requires 3+ years in home health coding, strong OASIS/PDGM knowledge, and the ability to work remotely full-time. EMR experience with WellSky, Homecare Homebase, and Epic is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of recent home health coding experience.
• Strong OASIS review expertise and knowledge of PDGM.
• Credential required with current CEUs as applicable.
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based computer software.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

POSITION SUMMARY : Seeking an experienced Home Health ICD-10 Coder with OASIS review experience to support WellSky's stateside coding operations. The role focuses on ICD-10-CM coding, OASIS accuracy, documentation consistency, and compliance with Medicare, payer, CMS, and account-specific requirements.

POSITION DUTIES

• Review home health clinical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM codes in accordance with applicable coding guidelines.
• Review OASIS documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Identify documentation opportunities as appropriate.
• Review the complete medical record to support appropriate coding and reimbursement.
• Follow the coding instructions, workflows, policies, and procedures established for the assigned WellSky client account.
• Meet established productivity and quality expectations.
• Participate in performance monitoring, quality review, and education as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years of recent home health coding experience.
• Strong OASIS review expertise.
• Thorough understanding of OASIS and PDGM.
• Knowledge of documentation standards related to home health coding.
• Relevant coding credential required.
• Current CEUs for credentialing or licensure, as applicable.
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based computer software.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Must meet standard remote credentialing requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven track record of coding accuracy and quality.
• Experience with EMR systems used in home health coding.
• Experience following client or account-specific coding instructions and workflows.

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT : 4-6 months.

SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK : Normal full-time schedule, 40 hours per week. WellSky operates on Central Time.

SYSTEMS : Experience with EMR systems used in home health coding, including WellSky Home Health, Homecare Homebase, and Epic, is preferred but not required.
