Medical Coder – Remote
Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Pay: $42.00 - $43.00 per hour
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Medical Coder Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk adjustment chart reviews and coding audits
  • Support departments by providing real-time coding consultation
  • Ensure accuracy of medical codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
  • Assist Revenue Cycle Manager and billing staff as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with current coding guidelines and communicate changes
  • Contribute to compliance and audit-readiness projects

Requirements:

  • Medical Coder must hold an AAPC or AHIMA credential (CPC, CPC-P, CPMA, RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CCS-P)
  • At least 2 years of experience in HCC, risk adjustment, medical coding, or chart audit
  • Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, pathophysiology, and billing workflows
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Fluency in English required (additional languages a plus)
