Job summary

Golden State Orthopedics & Spine in Fremont, CA is seeking a Part Time Clinical/Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. You will maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and assist in procedures as appropriate.

Responsibilities include drawing blood, verifying patient eligibility, scheduling surgeries and pre/post-op appointments, and providing routine clinical support in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Disinfect equipment and instruments between patients.
• Pre-certify medications and assist in procedures when appropriate.
• Draw blood and verify patient eligibility and coverage.
• Schedule surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre/post-op appointments.
• Assist with day-to-day clinical operations and duties as assigned.

About the Role

What We're Looking For

Experience:

• 2 years of Medical Assistant experience (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
