Job summary

Golden State Orthopedics & Spine is seeking a Part Time Certified Medical Assistant for our Watsonville area clinics. The role includes maintaining exam rooms, stocking supplies, disinfecting instruments, pre-certification of medications, drawing blood and verifying patient eligibility.

You will travel 25% between Los Gatos, Morgan Hill, Mountain View with emergency travel to Capitola as needed. The ideal candidate holds CCMA and Phlebotomy certifications, with 2+ years of medical back-office

Qualifications

• CCMA and Phlebotomy certification are required.
• 2+ years of medical back-office experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exam rooms.
• Stock supplies.
• Disinfect equipment and instruments.
• Pre-certification of medications and assist in procedures.
• Draw blood.
• Verify patient eligibility and coverage.
• Schedule surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre/post-op appointments.
• Travel 25% between Los Gatos, Morgan Hill, Mountain View; emergency travel to Capitola.

About the Role

What You'll Do

• Maintaining exam rooms

• Pre-certification of medications and assisting in procedure/treatment when appropriate
• Drawing Blood
• Verifying patient eligibility and coverage
• Scheduling surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre/post-op appointments
• 25% travel between Los Gatos, Morgan Hill, and Mountain View. Emergency travel to Capitola (required)
• Additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

Education:

• CCMA and Phlebotomy certification (Required)
• 2+ years medical back-office experience (Preferred)
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Medical Assistant (Required)

The pay range for this role is:

23 - 25 USD per hour (Watsonville Clinic)
