Allied Universal is seeking a Medical Center Security Officer (Part Time) in University City, Philadelphia, to provide reliable campus security and friendly service for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This role features a fixed shift schedule, an option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, and a pay rate of $17.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other members of the campus community while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, and campus perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, report security-related concerns, and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Medical Center Security Officer (Part Time) in University City, Philadelphia, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 11:00 PM - 05:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
