Job summary

National-Spine-and-Pain-Center is seeking a Center Manager to oversee daily operations of the Pikesville, Maryland location. You will supervise administrative and clinical staff, maintain workflows, and support providers to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires strong supervision, EMR proficiency, and excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on compliance and patient experience. Travel across NSPC facilities may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of private medical office management and supervision experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business, or other related field, preferred.
• Two years of experience operating a licensed and accredited ambulatory surgery center (ASCs).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Familiarity with EMR and/or Electronic Practice Management systems.
• Independent self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong communication with diverse populations.
• Ability to handle difficult patients professionally.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all calls are answered, and messages are distributed promptly.
• Ensure timely completion of EMR and Practice Management tasks.
• Prepare patient records for scheduled appointments.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance in charts.
• Obtain authorizations and verify deductibles and co-pays.
• File medical records promptly and conduct audits.
• Schedule patient appointments per NSPC guidelines.
• Provide feedback to staff to optimize provider schedules.
• Forward prescription requests to appropriate provider.
• Oversee day-end billing and administrative duties.
• Serve as onsite escalation point for patients, providers and staff.
• Assist as backup for direct reports.
• Coordinate building/equipment/system issues.
• Manage office supply inventory; process invoices.
• Ensure professional presentation of center personnel.
