This position is located within the Department of Veterans Affairs - Veterans Health Administration (VHA) - Veterans Transportation Services (VTS) - Ambulance Service - VA Medical Center (VAMC) locations with an emergency room, acute or urgent care clinic, or other similar departments performing basic and advanced life support procedures in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless proficient in basic written and spoken English.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR (SCREEN-OUT): Four SPF are required: valid/current state license/certification for Paramedic, current BLS Certification, current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification, and a valid/unrestricted state driver's license. These are prerequisites for consideration.

This role involves heavy lifting, prolonged bending, and exposure to hazardous conditions, infectious diseases, and potentially violent individuals. Proper protective equipment and safety protocols are required.
