Qualifications

• Proven ability to use Excel for data management and reporting.
• Solid attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Good communication skills for phone and customer interactions.
• Comfort with working across multiple billing systems and data sources.
• Basic math skills for calculations and balancing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Code and prepare ambulance claims for billing.
• Handle roles that combine patient info and coding processes.
• Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets; import/export data between systems.
• Process deposits, verify payments, and maintain accurate records.
• Post payments into billing software and reconcile accounts.
• Review accounts for refunds and process accordingly.
• Contact insurance companies, hospitals, and patients to check claim status.
• File appeals for denied/unpaid claims and follow up on balances.
• Support specialized roles (Auto, Medicaid, Contract Clerks) with follow-ups.
• Answer inbound calls, assist patients, and process payments.
