Addison Group is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist in Charlotte, NC for a contract-to-hire role in a healthcare Revenue Cycle department. This position requires strong Medicare billing experience and full-cycle billing proficiency from charge entry to reimbursement resolution.

The ideal candidate will handle denials, appeals, AR follow-up, and patient billing inquiries with professionalism, while maintaining accurate documentation and providing exceptional service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in medical billing or AR experience.
• Strong Medicare billing experience required.
• Full-cycle billing: submission, follow-up, denial resolution, and appeals.
• Knowledge of government and commercial payer guidelines.
• Detail oriented in high-volume environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Process and submit claims with payer compliance.
• Enter charges and validate claim information.
• Monitor claims and address delays.
• Investigate denials, pursue resolutions and appeals.
• Prepare and submit appeals.
• Review aging reports and follow up on AR.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits.
• Communicate with carriers about status.
• Respond to patient inquiries professionally.
• Support monthly billing, reporting, and revenue cycle tasks.
• Maintain documentation of claim activity.
