Job summary

OrthoCarolina in Charlotte is seeking an Accounts Receivable (Medical Billing) Representative to join our Revenue Cycle team. The role focuses on reviewing aging insurance account balances, resolving claim issues with insurers and patients, and supporting timely reimbursement for services.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.
• Three years of accounts receivable experience, preferred; One year of experience in a health care organization.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10 required.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining AR queues at a reasonable age-base date as defined by management.
• Reviewing and appealing denied medical claims for bundling and medical coding-related issues.
• Timely follow-up on all appeal submissions.
• Processing of corrected claims and assisting with timely turnaround for medical documentation requests.
• Providing follow-up and feedback to management regarding assignments.
