Job summary

OrthoCarolina is seeking an Accounts Receivable (Medical Billing) Representative to join the Revenue Cycle team in Charlotte. This hybrid role involves reviewing aging insurance balances, resolving claim issues, and handling denials and appeals with prompt follow-up.

Responsibilities include maintaining AR queues, appealing denials, processing corrected claims, and assisting with documentation requests, while providing feedback to management on assignments.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED is required.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.
• Three years of accounts receivable experience preferred.
• One year of experience in a health care organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain AR queues with aging as defined by management.
• Review and appeal denied medical claims for bundling/coding issues.
• Follow up on all appeal submissions in a timely manner.
• Process corrected claims and assist with documentation requests.
• Provide feedback to management on assignments.
