A-Line Staffing is hiring a Healthcare Payment Posting Specialist for a hybrid schedule in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports a high-volume cash posting team by accurately posting and reconciling payments from multiple payers and patients. Training is on-site first month; then hybrid schedule with 3 days on-site, 2 remote.

Full-time position, 40+ hours per week, with benefits after 90 days. Requires 3–5 years of healthcare payment posting experience, strong Excel skills, and experience interpreting

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of healthcare payment posting experience (manual + electronic).
• Proficiency with Excel and reconciliation tools; comfort working in EMR/payment posting systems (e.g., WellSky/Interactant or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies independently.

Responsibilities

• Post healthcare payments (manual and electronic) accurately and efficiently.
• Interpret and apply EOBs, EFTs, ERAs, and 835 remittance files.
• Allocate lump-sum payments across multiple patient accounts and dates of service.
• Research payment variances, reconcile discrepancies, and resolve unapplied payments.
• Apply payer rules (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, Workers’ Comp) including COB and secondary/tertiary handling.
• Process contractual adjustments and support denial resolution/payment reconciliation as needed.
• Collaborate with billing/collections teams and follow internal SOPs; suggest workflow improvements when appropriate.
• Use Excel and reconciliation tools to support payment balancing and reporting.

Details and Compensation:

• Location: Phoenix, AZ 85027 – hybrid (on-site/remote)
• Hybrid schedule typically 3 days on-site / 2 days remote (set with manager)
• Training: first month is 5 days on-site
• Payrate: $24.00/hr (W2)
• Required Availability: Full-Time | 40 hrs/week | Standard start time typically 7:00 AM–8:00 AM (8-hour shifts)

Summary and Highlights:

The Healthcare Payment Posting Specialist supports a high-volume cash posting team by accurately posting and reconciling healthcare payments across multiple payers and patient accounts. This role focuses on interpreting remittances (EOB/EFT/ERA/835), resolving discrepancies/unapplied payments, and ensuring payment accuracy and data integrity. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Experience: 3–5 years of healthcare payment posting experience (manual + electronic)
• Strong knowledge of EOBs, EFTs, ERAs, COB, and 835 interpretation
• Proficiency with Excel and reconciliation tools; comfort working in EMR/payment posting systems (e.g., WellSky/Interactant or similar)
• High attention to detail, strong math/analytical skills, and ability to resolve discrepancies independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
