Handi Medical Supply, Inc. in Saint Paul, MN is hiring an AR Billing/Collections Representative for a full-time, on-site role. The position runs Mon-Fri, 8:30 am - 5 pm, and focuses on patient billing, claims processing, and customer service.

Ideal candidates have Medicare/DME billing experience and a high school diploma; an AA degree is preferred. Local candidates are encouraged to apply and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required with AA degree preferred
• 2-3 years of Medicare or DME experience
• TIM’s experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required
• Checking benefits and eligibility for DME coverage
• Preparing and reviewing claims using billing software
• Checking insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discounts
• Minimizing timely filing write offs
• Identifying and billing secondary insurances
• Researching and appealing denied claims
• Setting up patient payment plans and updating billing software with needed changes
• Guiding customers through their billing inquiries
• Providing world class customer experiences to internal and external customers
• Organizing and maintaining patient health information in both electronic and hard copies
• Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness
