LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking a Biller Associate to maintain timely submission of hospital claims and manage third-party payer billing. You will review electronic claims, correct errors, monitor rejections, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of healthcare billing experience, with a patient-first approach and attention to detail.
Your job is more than a job
Maintaining the financial health of our community of hospitals and providers, while supporting patients in understanding and managing their healthcare expenses is an essential responsibility of a Biller Associate. You’re a vital liaison for billing activities related to Medicare, Medicaid, and all third-party payors. As you navigate complex billing and insurance requirements, your knowledge of insurance plans, government healthcare programs, and private insurers shines through as does your respect for patient confidentiality and their hard-earned dollars.
You’re not resolving bills. It’s a trust-building thing among providers, patients, and insurance payors as they look to you for expertise and guidance. You love being that go-to person because, in your heart, you realize that you make a difference by ensuring that their claims are processed accurately, and potential financial burdens are minimized. We love the way you think.
Your experiences, knowledge, skills, empathy, team mentality, and your “little something extra” all add up to you. And we’re excited to get to know you and find out what you’ll bring to this medical biller role.
