  • Collaborate with and support offshore teams, providing guidance and feedback to maintain consistent billing standards.
  • Provide responsive customer service to physicians, practice staff, and other stakeholders regarding billing questions and issues.
  • Assist in implementing and optimizing workflows within Athenahealth and other practice management systems as they are introduced.
  • Contribute to building and refining the internal RCM department, including helping to standardize procedures and best practices.
  • Manage priorities across multiple client accounts and physician practices, balancing competing deadlines and requirements.
Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated experience with medical claims, invoicing, insurance billing, and revenue cycle processes.
  • Background in primary care medical billing and working with independent physician practices.
  • Experience supporting offshore billing teams or collaborating with offshore resources.
  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to accuracy and detail in billing and payment posting.
  • Experience with insurance verification and resolving insurance-related billing issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with payers, physicians, and practice stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably in a fully remote environment.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities across multiple client accounts and physician practices.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills to maintain clear, comprehensive billing records.
  • Experience working in a growing healthcare organization or similarly dynamic environment.

  • Experience with additional practice management and billing platforms such as Tebra, eClinicalWorks, Charm Health, and AdvancedMD.
  • Familiarity with customer service and ticketing systems such as HubSpot and Zendesk.
  • Experience providing support for multiple physician practices across different locations.
  • Comfort working within a high-growth organization where processes and systems continue to evolve.
  • Interest in helping build and refine an internal RCM department, including contributing to operational strategy and scalability.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both onshore and offshore team members.
