Responsibilities

Our growing third-party revenue cycle management group is hiring for billing and collections specialists. This position offers the opportunity to work with multiple hosiptal and health systems from the comfort of home. No travel is required.

Job Description:

The Medical Billing and Collections Specialist will be responsible for supporting the full medical billing process, including claim preparation, denial follow-up, account research, and resolution. The ideal candidate will have healthcare billing experience and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review patient accounts and insurance information to ensure claims are accurate and ready for submission.
• Prepare and process medical claims while identifying missing or incorrect information.
• Communicate with providers and internal departments to obtain documentation needed to complete or correct claims.
• Investigate denied and rejected claims and determine appropriate next steps for resolution.
• Make necessary claim updates, corrections, and follow-up to help ensure timely reimbursement.
• Follow up on and elevate complex claim denials for examination and resolution.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
• Follow established billing procedures and payer requirements.

Qualifications:

• Previous medical billing and A/r experience (1+ years)
• Medical Billing and Coding certification or CRCR is preferred.
