Job summary

College of the Mainland is seeking a Medical Assisting Program Coordinator/Faculty to support the Medical Assisting program. The role requires credentialed Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) and experience with curriculum in allied health settings.

Responsibilities include practicum coordination, curriculum development, student advisement, site selection, and on-site assessments. This position is full time and indoors on campus, with potential irregular hours to meet student needs.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with medical assistant curriculum or teaching material.
  • Knowledge of educational theory or techniques.
  • Principles and practices of teaching; training techniques.
  • Knowledge of student engagement techniques.
  • Record keeping procedures; communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate practicum experiences.
  • Develop and evaluate curriculum and coursework.
  • Meet classes as scheduled; advise students.
  • Maintain office hours for student consultation.
  • Select and approve practicum sites; conduct on-site assessments.
  • Participate in committees; counsel students as needed.
  • Engage in student recruitment; pursue continuous professional development.
