Job summary

Houston Community College seeks an Instructor for Medical Assistant to support the curriculum and teach across modalities at multiple sites, including dual credit sections as needed. The role includes advising students and contributing to program development.

Applicants should hold an Associate’s degree in nursing/health-related fields with 3 years of clinical healthcare experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. A certified medical assistant or Texas RN licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in nursing/health-related field required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Three years of current clinical work experience in healthcare settings.
  • Experience in classroom and clinical skills instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a full load each semester across modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, online).
  • Develop syllabi for courses and labs; maintain student records and reports.
  • Provide academic advising and support to students.
  • Participate in professional development and service activities.
  • Assist in program and course assessment and accreditation tasks.
