Job summary

CT State Community College seeks an Assistant Professor, Program Coordinator to teach up to 30 credit hours annually across lecture, hybrid, and online formats at CT State Norwalk. You will also manage program coordination duties, recruit and advise students, and establish partnerships with local employers.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Allied Health, teaching credentials, and experience in medical assisting; strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health or related field.
• Credentialed Medical Assistant by NCCA, ANSI, or ISO.
• Two years college teaching experience (48+ credits).
• Two years professional experience in medical assisting.
• Education in instructional methodology.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 30 credit hours per academic year in lecture, hybrid, and online formats.
• Develop curricula and periodically review instructional materials; assist with program reviews and accreditation activities.
• Plan and execute program-related events; attend workshops and conferences to maintain currency.
