Job summary

CT State Community College in Manchester, CT, invites applications for an Assistant Professor, Program Coordinator. This full-time, 10-month tenure-track position requires teaching up to 30 credits annually across lecture, hybrid, and online formats, with a Spring 2027 start.

Responsibilities include curriculum development, student mentoring, program coordination duties, and collaboration with external partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Exercise Science or a related discipline.
• Four (4) years college teaching experience (96+ credits).
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Teach thirty (30) credit hours per academic year in assigned discipline, in lecture, hybrid, and/or online formats; day and evening classes may be scheduled.
• Evaluate and assess student learning outcomes.
• Provide student support, mentoring, and academic advising.
• Develop curriculum and periodically review instructional materials.
• Assist with program reviews and accreditation activities.
• Plan and execute program-related events.
• Attend workshops, trainings, and professional conferences to maintain currency.
