Job summary

Central Penn College is seeking a dedicated Medical Assisting Instructor for an on-ground evening labs adjunct role at our Summerdale campus, with potential online course delivery. The position is part-time and requires CMA(AAMA) certification and related field experience.

The instructor will teach in online and on-ground formats, develop engaging lesson plans, and prepare students for the CMA exam while maintaining records and supporting student success within the School of Health Sciences.

Qualifications

  • Current CMA(AAMA) and either NHA or ASCP phlebotomy certification is required.
  • Associates degree (minimum) in related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical assisting clinical and administrative tasks and familiarity with Practice Management Software.
  • Experience in the skills performed by a medical assistant.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively teach in online and on-ground formats (day and evening).
  • Commitment to student success and academic excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality instruction.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans for online and on-ground students.
  • Prepare students to pass the CMA exam.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  • Maintain attendance, grades, and progress records.
  • Complete course Level of Outcomes Assessment.
  • Foster a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with School of Health Sciences colleagues to ensure program quality.

Central Penn College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assisting Instructor to join our School of Health Sciences. This position is vital to the success of our program, providing comprehensive online and on-ground instruction to prepare students for rewarding careers.

***This is a part-time adjunct faculty position. Please note we are looking for someone to be on-ground at our Summerdale college campus location for evening labs in addition to possibly teaching asynchronous online courses.***

  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the School of Health Sciences to ensure program quality and student success.
