Job description

Adjunct Faculty, Medical Assisting

Northampton Community College is seeking an experienced RN to serve as an adjunct faculty member and program coordinator for our medical assisting lab. The position is based at the Fowler Campus in Bethlehem, PA, and will remain open until filled.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly laboratory instruction to medical assisting students on Fridays from 8:00 to 11:30am.
• Deliver instruction in pharmacology, medical mathematics, phlebotomy, laboratory skills, documentation, and competency‑based education.
• Act as program coordinator, completing course assessments and required reporting.
• Select textbooks and keep program courses current within the curriculum.
• Participate in adjunct faculty observations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of RN experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in pharmacology, medical mathematics, phlebotomy, laboratory skills, documentation, and competency‑based education.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Compensation

Separate compensation is paid by semester for the program coordinator role.
