Job summary

Central Penn College is seeking a dedicated Medical Assisting Instructor for an on-ground evening labs adjunct role at our Summerdale campus, with potential online course delivery. The position is part-time and requires CMA(AAMA) certification and related field experience.

The instructor will teach in online and on-ground formats, develop engaging lesson plans, and prepare students for the CMA exam while maintaining records and supporting student success within the School of Health Sciences.

Qualifications

Current CMA(AAMA) and either NHA or ASCP phlebotomy certification is required.
Associates degree (minimum) in related field.
In-depth knowledge of medical assisting clinical and administrative tasks and familiarity with Practice Management Software.
Experience in the skills performed by a medical assistant.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively teach in online and on-ground formats (day and evening).
Commitment to student success and academic excellence.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality instruction.
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans for online and on-ground students.
Prepare students to pass the CMA exam.
Assess student learning and provide feedback.
Maintain attendance, grades, and progress records.
Complete course Level of Outcomes Assessment.
Foster a positive learning environment.
Collaborate with School of Health Sciences colleagues to ensure program quality.
