The position requires regular travel between both sites, with approximately 50% of time spent at each location. However, business needs may require up to 75% of time to be based in the Lone Tree office. Additional travel to the Castle Rock (CR) location may be required on an as‑needed basis.
Job Summary
Full time (Monday - Friday, days), no nights, no on call, no weekends, no holidays. Seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling and canceling patient appointments
- Checking‑in and checking‑out patients
- Entering charges and payments
- Answering the telephone
- Verifying patient insurance and demographics
- Collection of co‑payments/coinsurance and personal balances
- Perform selected administrative duties and assist nursing staff
- Collect patient specimens when required
- Takes patient histories and vital signs
- Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments
- Gives injections and applies casts, splints, and dressings, as applicable
- Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
- Assists physician in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
- Performs other duties as required
- Reads, understands, and adheres to all Physician Services policies and procedures
- Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement
- Co‑ordinates continuity of patient care with external healthcare organizations and referrals
- Participates on a team for data collection, health outcomes reporting, audits and programmatic evaluation related to Patient Centered Medical Home
Qualifications
- One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
- Medical Assistant Certification required (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NCRMA, or ABR‑OE credentials acceptable)
- Medical Assistants who graduated within last 12 months must obtain certification within 60 days of employment
- Individuals with one year of Medical Assistant work experience lacking certification must obtain certification within one year of hire date
