Summary
Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
Responsibilities
- Assist with performing patient care under the direction of a provider or nurse.
- Perform basic clinical skills and specimen collection.
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient conditions.
- Document patient care provided.
- Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain examination areas.
- Perform administrative or clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Apply critical thinking and judgment, work with minimal supervision, and act appropriately in a fast‑paced environment.
Requirements
- Credentials: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
- Minimum experience: 3 years as a Medical Assistant OR graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
- Must hold a valid BLS or CPR card through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; card must be valid for at least 60 days from hire.
