Meridian Health Services is seeking a Medical Assistant in Peru, IN to support patients in our Primary Care office. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with responsibilities spanning patient preparation, vitals, exams, documentation, triage, and administrative duties.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, HS diploma or equivalent, and CMA/NCMA/CCMA/RMA certification preferred. 6–12 months of clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred (CMA, NCMA, CCMA, or RMA).
• 6-12 months of clinical experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Guide patients through their visit and prepare them for provider assessments
• Take vitals, prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain supplies
• Support providers with exams, minor procedures, and patient documentation
• Perform phone triage, manage labs and records, and follow infection-control protocols
• Conduct screenings (PHQ-9, Edinburgh, GAD-7) and assist with telehealth
• Prepare medications, maintain certifications, and protect patient confidentiality
• Complete daily/weekly tasks, attend meetings, and uphold OSHA/CLIA standards
