Meridian Health Services in Muncie, IN, is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our Pediatrics Primary Care team. You will help provide integrated physical, mental, and social health services to underserved communities, performing vital tasks and ensuring quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• High school diploma or equivalency required; Associates degree preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred (CMA, NCMA, CCMA, or RMA).
• 6–12 months of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through visits and prepare for assessments.
• Take vitals, prep exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and restock supplies.
• Assist providers with exams, minor procedures, and documentation.
• Perform phone triage, manage labs and records, and follow infection-control protocols.
• Conduct screenings (PHQ-9, Edinburgh, GAD-7) and assist with telehealth.
• Prepare medications, maintain certifications, and protect patient confidentiality.
• Complete daily/weekly tasks, attend meetings, and uphold OSHA/CLIA standards.
