Job summary

Meridian Health Services is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patients of all ages at our Indianapolis Stop 11 office in Indianapolis, IN. You will help deliver integrated physical, mental, and social health as part of a team dedicated to whole-person care.

You will guide patients, take vitals, prep exam rooms, assist with exams, handle triage and labs, and support documentation while upholding infection-control and safety standards. A CMA/NCMA/CCMA/RMA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• High school diploma or equivalency required; Associates degree preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/NCMA/CCMA/RMA) preferred.
• 6–12 months of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through their visit and prepare them for provider assessments.
• Take vitals, prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain supplies.
• Support providers with exams, minor procedures, and patient documentation.
• Perform phone triage, manage labs and records, and follow infection-control protocols.
• Conduct screenings (PHQ-9, Edinburgh, GAD-7) and assist with telehealth.
• Prepare medications, maintain certifications, and protect patient confidentiality.
• Complete daily/weekly tasks, attend meetings, and uphold OSHA/CLIA standards.
