What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments by gathering data, taking vital signs, and documenting information
• Assist in collecting lab specimens and performing point-of-care testing as needed
• Ensure examination rooms are prepared and maintained, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment
• Perform EKGs and other advanced tasks as delegated by the Physician or Provider
• Escort or transport patients to various areas within the clinic as directed
  
  

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a patient care setting or completion of a Medical Assistant program
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program
• Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers within 60 days of hire
• Ability to perform various outpatient care duties under the supervision of a Physician

• Additional certifications in specialized areas of patient care
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
