Job summary

VIPCARE is seeking a Medical Assistant to deliver high-quality patient-centered care. Under supervision, you will prepare patients, assist providers during visits, and support front-office operations to ensure efficient clinic flow.

The role emphasizes EMR documentation, vital signs, phlebotomy, immunizations, and coordination of preventive care outreach in a value-based care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA).
• 1+ year of medical assisting in a physician practice or outpatient setting preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• IV therapy certification preferred where permitted by state regulations.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA regulations and EMR usage.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support under physician/PA/APRN supervision.
• Prepare patients for examinations and document medical histories in EMR.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and in-office treatments.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and basic wound care as directed.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and document results.
• Coordinate patient communications, reminders, and preventive care outreach.
