Job summary

VIPCARE in Florida seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks in a primary care setting. You will prepare patients, assist physicians, document in EMR, and manage front-desk duties to ensure smooth visits.

The role requires a MA credential or equivalent, 1 year of MA experience, CPR/IV Start/Phlebotomy preferred, and proficiency with Google Suite and EMR systems. On-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant program, preferred (RMA or CMA).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR, IV Start, Phlebotomy experience, HIPAA/OSHA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prep patients for provider examination and record history.
• Assist provider with examinations, treatments, and procedures as directed.
• Maintain complete electronic medical records in the EMR.
• Take vitals and document in EMR.
• Handle front-desk tasks: phones, scheduling, inquiries, triage.
• Explain procedures and medications to patients.
• Prepare patient and room for examination.
• Perform in-office tests and CLIA-waived labs.
• Assist with inventory and clinic supplies.
• Onboard/train new team members.
