Job summary

VIPCARE is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support under a physician, PA, or APRN. The role includes preparing patients for exams, assisting during visits, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR.

A CMA/CCMA or equivalent certification is preferred, with Spanish bilingual ability and HIPAA knowledge emphasized. The position requires a proactive, patient-centered approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy outpatient clinic

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant programme.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology.
• CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within guidelines.
• Spanish bilingual ability is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and document history, meds, allergies, and preventive care in EMR.
• Measure vital signs and prep rooms for provider visits.
• Assist with examinations and in-office procedures.
• Explain treatment plans and follow-up care to patients.
