Job summary

vTech Solution seeks a Medical Assistant to support a procedural-heavy outpatient clinic (urology, otolaryngology, dermatology). You will obtain vitals, prep patients, and assist with cystoscopy and prostate biopsy while maintaining sterile fields.

The role requires reliable transportation and EPIC experience, with strong organization to support providers and clinic operations. This temp-to-hire role may lead to permanent placement, with travel to a secondary clinic on Mondays.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) preferred; MA-R considered with relevant procedural clinic experience.
• Minimum 6 months experience as an MA-C in adult/pediatric outpatient clinic, preferably in a procedural-heavy specialty.
• Ability to obtain and record vital signs and patient histories accurately.
• Experience assisting with urology or similar clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient vital signs accurately.
• Prepare patients by recording history, medications, and allergies.
• Set up and assist with clinical procedures including cystoscopy and prostate biopsy.
• Maintain sterile fields during procedures.
• Collect, label, and manage specimens correctly.
• Room patients and coordinate patient flow through the clinic.
• Float to the Ravenna clinic location on Mondays as required.
• Utilize clinic-specific equipment such as Trophon, Ultrasound Biopsy machine, and Bladder Scanner.
• Chart patient information using EPIC electronic medical records system (preferred).

Special Considerations:

• Position is temp-to-hire with an expectation of permanent placement.
• Candidates must have reliable personal transportation; public transportation is not acceptable.
• Contractor is required to float to a secondary clinic location on Mondays.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• Work environment includes outpatient procedural clinics.

Scheduling:

Four 9-hour shifts and one 4-hour shift per week, Monday through Friday, with weekends off.Typical shift hours: 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM for four days, and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for one day.The half-day shift may vary depending on provider operating room schedules.
