Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.
• 1-2 years recently in urgent or primary care setting.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience in phlebotomy/venipuncture.
• Able to communicate effectively with providers to resolve issues.
• Reliable and responsive to patients, families, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Assist Providers in patient care to ensure high-quality medical services.
• Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, immunizations, and assist with minor procedures.
• Prepare patient charts, referrals, labs, and DMs/E paperwork.
• Update EMR with demographics, insurance, and contact preferences.
• Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and scheduling with specialists.
• Maintain clinic supply inventory and keep rooms stocked.
• Triage calls and determine if telephonic or in-person care is needed.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure patient education at visit or follow-up.
