Job summary

NewCo GI is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide organization and support to the assigned provider. You will handle patient clinical triage, EMR chart documentation, and medication refills while serving as a liaison between patients and doctors.

The role includes back-office preparation, phlebotomy, and occasional travel to satellite offices. A CMA and BLS/CPR are preferred; high school diploma and 2 years MA experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years MA experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant (preferred).
• BLS/CPR (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Triage patients during clinical hours and document in EMR.
• E-scribe medications and manage patient messages.
• Coordinate patient flow and check out as needed.
• Travel to satellite offices to assist when directed by DCO or superiors.
• Maintain exam rooms and back-office supplies.
