The Center for GI Health is seeking a Medical Assistant with certification or an Associate degree to support frontline patient care. You will triage calls, liaise between physicians and patients, and advocate for patient needs while maintaining strict confidentiality and accurate EMR documentation.

Under supervision, you will manage routine tasks, handle phone inquiries, coordinate referrals, and assist with medication renewals and patient instructions to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant with Certification or an Associate degree is required.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Ability to deal tactfully with patients and families; strong people skills.

Responsabilités

• Triage patient calls to appropriate processer.
• Act as liaison between physician and patient and advocate for patients.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and practice information.
• Document all phone conversations in the EMR and notify providers as needed.
• Coordinate patient referrals and follow up with pharmacies when required.
• Follow established procedures and escalate questions to the Director of Clinical Services.
