AFC Urgent Care Portland is seeking a Medical Assistant Trainer to mentor back‑office staff from onboarding through annual training. You will travel to clinics, implement training programs, and help develop curricula while ensuring SOPs are consistently applied.

The role requires Medical Assistant experience, supervisory skills, and LXMO/X-ray familiarity. A fast‑paced urgent care environment awaits with growth opportunities and supportive leadership.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent on-the-job training required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical office; urgent care experience is a bonus.
• 1+ year of supervisory or training experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as training mentor for back office staff from onboarding to annual training.
• Travel to clinics as needed and onboard new hires; coordinate training schedules.
• Develop and implement training programs; create curricula and teaching materials.
• Conduct needs assessments and provide hands-on training for new staff.
• Communicate issues to Clinic Manager, Training Manager, or HR.
• Introduce and ensure use of SOPs across locations; evaluate training effectiveness.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
