UPMC in Central Pa is seeking motivated candidates for our accelerated, full-time Medical Assistant Trainee Program. Selected candidates enroll in a paid MA course with weekly clinical rotations, didactic skills modules, cost-free MA certification exam, and an externship at a UPMC Central PA outpatient clinic.

Candidates commit to a 40-hour work week and a 4-month schedule (class time extra). The program offers a fixed rate of $18.54/hour and a path to permanent employment as a Full-Time Medical

Competenze

• Must be able to start on February 8, 2027.
• Willingness to complete the paid MA training program.

Mansioni

• Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA and regulations.
• Obtain lab and x-ray reports, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage charts.
• Prepare patient rooms and assist with exams, including patient transfer and vitals collection.
• Assist physicians with procedures and document patient information in the medical record.
