The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant program completion or 1 year of clinical experience and must obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort patient to exam rooms and obtain initial information and vital signs.
  • Prepare exam rooms with supplies and cleanliness.
  • Assist with exams, tests, and procedures.
  • Schedule appointments and referrals as needed.
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Educate patients on follow-up expectations.
  • Maintain quality control testing logs and equipment checks.
  • Assist with medical documentation and office tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
Education, Certification, and/or Licensure
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program OR one (1) year of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
Education, Certification, and/or Licensure
  • Completion of healthcare education course work.
Experience
  • One (1) year of healthcare experience.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets and escorts patient to exam rooms; prepares for physician visit by obtaining initial information and vital signs.
  • Prepares exam rooms for patients with attention to cleanliness and availability of supplies.
  • Assists with and/or performs exams, tests, and procedures.
  • Schedules appointments and sets up referral contacts as needed.
  • Assists provider during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Educates patients on follow up expectations.
  • Maintains quality control testing logs as required.
  • Ensures all medical equipment is in proper working condition.
  • Assists patients with completion of medical documentation.
  • Assists with office administrative tasks to include but not limited to answering phones, taking messages, performing office related task (copying, printing, data entry, etc.) and assisting with depositing of cash and other closing duties.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach and be capable of normal rotation, standing and walking for an 8-12 hour shift.
