THOM Thomas Hospitals is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in exam rooms, collect vital signs, prepare rooms, and assist with exams and procedures. The role includes front-office tasks and patient education.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, MA program completion or 1 year clinical experience, and BLS within 30 days of hire. Some healthcare coursework is preferred. 40 hours weekly, non-exempt.
Performs basic nursing skills, and/or serves under the direction and supervision of the practice physician and/or registered nursing staff.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program OR one (1) year of experience in a clinical setting.
Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
Completion of healthcare education course work.
