Job summary

The role requires MA program graduation and CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certification with BLS and 2 years MA II/III experience at IU Health.

Responsibilities include overseeing schedules, chart prep, and pre-visit planning, coordinating staffing, and collaborating with clinic leadership to uphold high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• Certification: CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or CMAC.
• AHA BLS for healthcare workers certification required.
• 2 years’ MA II/III experience at IU Health is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day direction and support to team members to ensure efficient clinic operations.
• Monitor clinic workflow and address barriers or challenges that impact patient flow.
• Provide real-time coaching, guidance, and feedback to staff members.
• Lead and facilitate daily team huddles.
• Review daily schedules to ensure chart preparation and pre-visit planning are completed.
• Coordinate workflow adjustments based on staffing and patient volume.
• Serve as a resource for process questions and workflow concerns.
• Collaborate with providers and clinic leadership to maintain efficient operations and quality patient care.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduation from Medical Assistant program

CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certification

AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
