Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of clinical and patient care tasks.
• Reliable, motivated team player with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and a commitment to promoting an inclusive and respectful workplace.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain and record vital signs, and provide support in the float station
• Administering injections, perform EKGs, and assist providers with procedures
• Provide patient education, communicate effectively with patients and families, and ensure completion of required forms and documentation
• Accurately document patient information and clinical activity in the in the electronic health record (eClinicalWorks)
• Maintain exam room supplies and equipment, and clean and sterilize instruments
• Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and OSHA standards to promote a safe work environment
• Travel to other clinic locations as needed to support patient care and operational needs
• Cross-train to provide back up support to other specialties
• Performs other related duties as assigned
