Job summary

Fairview in Minneapolis, MN seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care team. This 1.0 FTE role (80 hours per two weeks) offers weekday hours with no weekends and a $2,000 new hire sign-on bonus.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement plans. Responsibilities include assisting physicians and RNs, following care plans, performing procedures, documenting in the medical record, and ensuring patient safety and confidentiality while collaborating with the care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN Program is required.
• Non-Certified Applicants with less than six (6) months of Medical Assistant experience must have graduated from an accredited school with a clinical externship
• Basic Life Support Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care as delegated by the physician/authorized practitioner or RN to assigned patient population.
• Follows the patient’s plan of care and prioritizes work based on patient acuity and available resources.
• Performs high and low risk technical procedures including medication administration, CPR assistance, and labs as applicable.
• Documents care in the medical record and communicates with the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintains patient privacy and safety and participates in care team communication to improve patient experience.
