Job summary

The Medical Assistant Supervisor at Stout Street Recuperative Care Center in Denver provides leadership of the MA team, ensures clinical competency, quality patient care, and efficient clinic operations. This role oversees daily workflows and supports interdisciplinary care in a trauma-informed setting.

Responsibilities include supervising MAs, training staff, coordinating clinic operations, maintaining NextGen EHR documentation, and ensuring HIPAA and infection-control compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or Emergency Medical Technician-Basic certification required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Medical Assistants, including scheduling, timesheet approvals, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
• Ensure quality and competency of MA team through training, auditing, and remediation of clinical skills.
• Champion quality improvement initiatives and support LEAN methodologies across the clinic.
• Provide direct patient care support in routine and emergency situations within scope of training.
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, and behavioral health staff for effective interdisciplinary care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR (NextGen) and other systems.
