Job summary

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking a Medical Assistant Supervisor to manage and develop the MA team at the Stout Street Recuperative Care Center. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring high-quality care, and coordinating with interdisciplinary leaders to support patients discharging from hospital who are too frail to heal on the streets.

The position will be approximately 50% administrative and 50% direct patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or EMT-B certification.
• Preferred experience as a supervisor.
• One year of Medical Assistant/EMT experience (CCH preferred).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises health center-based Medical Assistants and handles hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
• Ensures MA staff deliver high-quality healthcare within scope and Colorado standards.
• Holds weekly 1:1 supervision and provides coaching, training, and evaluation.
• Maintains quality assurance metrics and facilitates staff remediation as needed.
• Manages scheduling, timesheets, and adherence to policies and standard work.
• Leads team meetings, collaborates with MA and Nursing Leadership, and communicates updates.
