Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Care System seeks a Medical Assistant to function in collaborative practice with physicians and advanced practice providers in an ambulatory setting. You will assist in the preparation and delivery of patient care under provider direction, following nursing process and departmental policies to support the medical plan of treatment and ensure excellent customer relations.

The role is based in the Cln-Sleep Medicine department, with a standard 40-hour work week

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Graduate of an accredited MA program or current MA certification required.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• National certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel.
• Collaborate with physicians and/or advanced practice providers in ambulatory care.
• Perform clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures.
