Job summary

UVA Community Health in Virginia is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Medical Group. This Non-Exempt role provides clinical support under supervision, assists with administrative tasks, and helps maintain patient flow while delivering high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year in a clinic setting, and CMA/CCMA/RMA certification or completion of an approved program. AHA BLS is required, and travel between campus sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• Current CMA, CCMA, or RMA credentials or completion of an approved medical assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.
• Assist with administrative tasks and maintain patient flow.
• Document charges for clinical services rendered during patient visits.
