Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient examinations and care coordination under supervision. The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, updating med lists in the EHR, and assisting with procedures.

A strong emphasis is placed on following AHN protocols and maintaining patient care standards. The position may require certification within 120 days of hire, with external hires eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must obtain certification within 120 days of hire.
• Accepted Medical Assistant Certification options: NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs, document patient information and medication screening.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with additional training.
• Provide follow up with patients per provider instructions and notify test results.
