Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under supervisor guidance. You will prepare patients, document vitals and histories, and screen medications within AHN protocols.

Responsibilities include back office testing, assisting with procedures, and potential scribe duties with training. CPR, background checks, and HIPAA compliance are required for this role.

Qualifications

• High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Certification training and/or testing within 30 days of hire; certification within 120 days.
• CPR - American Heart Association required.
• Act 34/33/73 background/fingerprint clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision of a provider.
• Prepare and room patients; document vital signs and history; screen medication lists.
• Perform back office testing and assist with examinations and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with additional training; document in EHR.
• Follow established workflows; ensure proper inventory and cleanliness of exam areas.
